Use at every watering for optimum results. Flush monthly with plain water to remove traces of mineral salts build up.
Gradually increase nutrient strength/dilution rate as plant advances towards maturity.
Can I pre-mix my nutrient solution?
Yes, you can. A nutrient solution stays optimal for about 1-2 weeks once mixed. Beyond that, it may become a breeding ground for harmful bacteria or fungi. To ensure freshness, replace the solution every couple of weeks, and give it a good oxygen boost by mixing it well before use.
How often should I use Focus products?
For best results, use Focus nutrients at every watering. If you’re not allowing runoff, be sure to flush your plants with plain water once a month to prevent mineral salts build up.
Can I use tap water for my nutrient solution?
Yes, tap water is often the best choice for hydroponic systems. It has natural buffering capacity that helps stabilise the pH of your solution, unlike distilled or reverse osmosis water, which can cause pH fluctuations that could affect your plants’ nutrient uptake.
