Hy-Gen® pH Down is a premium 85% food-grade phosphoric acid solution designed to safely and effectively lower the pH of your nutrient solution. Its highly concentrated formula allows growers to make precise pH adjustments while using only a small amount of product, making it both economical and easy to use.
The pH of a nutrient solution has a direct impact on the availability of essential plant nutrients. If the pH becomes too high, important elements such as iron, manganese, phosphorus, and other micronutrients can become less available to the plant, resulting in nutrient deficiencies, poor growth, and reduced yields. Regular monitoring and adjustment of pH ensures your plants have access to the nutrients they need throughout every stage of growth.
For best results, always prepare your nutrient solution first before adjusting the pH. Once all nutrients and additives have been added, allow the solution to fully equilibrate, which may take up to 60 minutes, depending on the size of your reservoir. Before adding Hy-Gen® pH Down to your nutrient tank, dilute the required amount in a separate container of clean water and mix thoroughly.
